The Stevenskerk will be the setting for a special celebration on Sunday 23 February at 10.00 that follows Jan van Teeffelen's impressive photo exhibition. City Church, City Monastery Mariken and House of Compassion invite you to both look at the exhibition with different eyes and let the photographs speak to the meaning of spirituality and compassion.
Just as Jan van Teeffelen's camera zooms in on the strength and joie de vivre of the people of Nijmegen, the celebration zooms in on Nijmegen's deep-rooted DNA as a city of compassion. Inspiring texts, music and concrete projects focus on the virtue of compassion, a value embedded in all world religions and an essential part of being human.
Everyone is welcome on 23 February to be inspired this morning and to get moving themselves through the interaction between art, spirituality and compassion.
