'What if your lunch tomorrow contributed to less food waste as well as someone's second chance?
At Soepje Erbij in Nijmegen, we make exactly that possible.
Students from the HAN developed healthy soup and pasta sauce together with volunteers from the Food Bank and the House of Compassion.
We cook soups and sauces from rescued vegetables, prepared by volunteers eager to participate - young, old, newcomer, someone looking for a rhythm again. Together in the kitchen, making something that matters together.
The vegetables come from House of Compassion's FoodHub, which collects surplus food from farmers, supermarkets and wholesalers five days a week, turning what would otherwise be thrown away into soup with flavour and meaning.
We are looking for companies and organisations that want to enrich their lunches with more than just a meal.
