The board consists of a chairman, a secretary and a treasurer. Any other board members have a general function.
The foundation aims to: promote compassion for the vulnerable in our society, based on the principle of "treat others as you would want to be treated yourself" and anything else that is directly or indirectly related to or may be conducive to the above, all in the broadest sense.
In the HvC 2026 Work Plan describes which activities we want to add to the existing offer in the coming years and which goals we are pursuing.
House of Compassion employs a number of part-time workers. Remuneration is regulated by the Collective Agreement for Welfare. Board members receive no remuneration for their work.
We organise a wide range of activities for the vulnerable in our society, but at the same time also for people who are well off; it is precisely the encounter between different groups of people that we strive for, as this can lead to mutual understanding and respect.
We organise more than 20 activities spearheaded by meeting, meals, practical support, refugees, sustainability.
A review of the activities can be found in theAnnual report 2024From the House of Compassion.
