On 26 January, we will be screening the documentary ‘One Day after Peace’. A Jewish mother, whose son was murdered by a Palestinian, travels to South Africa to investigate the methodology and effectiveness of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. She wishes to make contact with her son’s killer, both for her own sake and for the sake of peace between Jews and Palestinians. The killer does not wish to have any contact, unless it is to explain once again what his justification is and was.
How on earth can we achieve reconciliation and peace? A highly topical issue at the moment.

Directed by Erez & Miri Laufer | Israel & South Africa | 2012
