When Bruno and Pietro meet in a village in the Italian Alps, they are twelve years old.
Pietro is a brooding city boy and Bruno a down-to-earth mountain lad, and yet the two form a friendship that will last a lifetime. Although there are certainly many ups and downs along the way.
A beautifully melancholic drama based on the Italian novel *Le otto montagne* by Paolo Cognetti. Thoughtfully and understatedly directed by the Flemish filmmaker couple Felix van Groeningen (of *The Misfortunates*) and Charlotte Vandermeersch.
After the film, there will be an opportunity to talk to each other, in a relaxed atmosphere and over a drink.
