Every Tuesday there is cooking by the Difference Makers. Then anyone who wants can join us for dinner between 12:00-13:30! Our living room is thus transformed into a pop up restaurant. Difference makers also have an open walk-in every Tuesday afternoon from 1:30-15:30pm.
Every last Thursday of the month, Hemmen and his Difference makers organize an event. Think photography workshop with smartphone, introduction Canva etc. Also come and walk in!
Difference makers
The Difference Makers are the young volunteers involved in projects inside and outside the House of Compassion. This enthusiastic group of young people is committed to all kinds of activities. Think of providing a delicious lunch on Tuesdays for local residents, offering a creative workshop to other young people, giving a guest lesson to HAN students, or helping with Nijmegen events such as the pop round or City Take over.
It is a place where young people can meet in a nice atmosphere, discover their talents, develop themselves and lend a hand to another.
This initiative of young volunteers has found its place in the House of Compassion with support from the Oranjefonds. In cooperation with network partners Dar Al Yasmin, the District Factory and the Hobby Center, together we keep the involvement of young volunteers active.
Differencemakers is a place where there is plenty of room for creativity, your vision and new ideas. The diversity and open atmosphere means that you can easily come into contact with young people from different backgrounds.
