Subsistence security

Several tens of thousands of people reside in the Netherlands without a valid residence permit. People whose permits have expired, asylum seekers who have exhausted all legal remedies, foreign women with children who have been sent away by their (Dutch) partners before they became entitled to an independent residence permit, victims of human trafficking who have not dared to report the crime, stateless people who cannot return to the country of birth or origin. Not having a valid residence permit makes someone excluded from social services. Making use of regular shelter is only possible under the condition of cooperating in returning to the country of origin. This puts permanent pressure on the livelihood of undocumented people.

What are we looking for?

For Kansfonds, every person counts and everyone has the right to a dignified existence. That is why we continue to support projects aimed at sheltering and guiding undocumented people.
