Information about our ANBI status

Board composition

The board consists of a chairman, a secretary and a treasurer. Any other board members have a general function.

Vision and objective

The foundation aims to: promote compassion for the vulnerable in our society, based on the principle of "treat others as you would want to be treated yourself" and anything else that is directly or indirectly related to or may be conducive to the above, all in the broadest sense.

Policy

In theWork plan House of Compassion 2025describes which activities we want to add to the existing offer in the coming years and which goals we are pursuing.

Reward

House of Compassion employs a number of part-time workers. Remuneration is regulated by the Collective Agreement for Welfare. Board members receive no remuneration for their work.

Activities

We organise a wide range of activities for the vulnerable in our society, but at the same time also for people who are well off; it is precisely the encounter between different groups of people that we strive for, as this can lead to mutual understanding and respect.

We organise more than 20 activities spearheaded by meeting, meals, practical support, refugees, sustainability.

Income and expenses

The foundation was established on 16 July 2015. Prior to that date, the activities of the House of Compassion were part of the Protestant Diaconate of Nijmegen. The annual financial report for 2024 and ANBI details such as board composition can be found here: annual financial report 2024
